Last night I sat down with my parents to watch the debate. I haven't really been into it, but my mom totally is and since Phoebe was having a good time, I decided to watch it.
The debate started at seven and around 8 Phoebe started to get antsy because she knows when it's bath time. She loves her baths!
So I handed her my iPhone in hopes of distracting her for just a couple of minutes so I could hear the end of one of the candidate's responses.
Mistake.
I took it from her and she flipped out. Like major melt down.
This is why I don't like her to play with my phone.
So in hopes of calming her down, I whisked her off to the bathroom and started her bath.
Normally she gets excited and can't wait to get in... Not this time.
She kept screaming and crying so after there was a little water in the tub, I undressed her and stuck her in.
She stood there and screamed.
After a couple of minutes I came to the realization that she wasn't calming down, so I took her out, laid her in my lap and nursed her.
She finally calmed down, but what happens when you stick a naked baby in your lap to nurse her?
Yep, I got peed on. Not just a little pee, it was like Niagara falls all over my pants.
So I spent the rest of her bath with no pants on and then had to streak through the house with Phoebe in tow to our room.
Lesson learned.

Ugh, I have to try and keep my iPhone where Avery won't see it. I really don't like her messing with it. I do have some apps on there for her, but I rarely use them! And I know what getting massive peed on feels like, that is the worst!
ReplyDeleteChloe is also addicted to my cell phone! but I try not to let her play with it to often because she just likes to put it in her mouth. Sorry you had a difficult night, if it makes you feel any better Chloe peed on me last night too!
