Random Things

How was everyone's weekend? Good I hope.

Over here we dealt with a cranky toddler due to two bottom canine teeth popping through.

But? It was still a pretty decent weekend.

We spent it at home. Yeah, I probably should have taken Phoebe to the park, or the splash pad, or something else fun, but we stayed home and that was just fine. We played out in our yard/Grandma's yard, did some swinging, some tricycling and some running around.

I even managed to find some kids music that Phoebe likes (thank you Spotify) which now I'm not so sure I like, but it's better than some of the annoying kid stuff. It's just songs I sing to her often that I know she likes, but they're sung by kids (and one by Barney).

Phoebe also decided to be super "I need mommy or daddy in my room to play with me and my toys at ALL times". I don't know what's up with that, but she whines and cries if we try to leave the room for even a minute. Independence, where did you go?

I also spent a large majority of the weekend naming things that she pointed at. She loves that now. Point at anything and everything and have mommy label it. And colors? Oh man, kid could hold up two colored legos all day and have me label them back and forth. "Blue! Green! Blue! Green!", on and on and on.

Sunday it was just Phoebe and I most of the day since Daddy was at a Special Olympics gold tournament. I think he enjoyed it, but it is SO hot out, which is miserable, plus he's still getting used to his new contacts which have been causing wicked headaches, so he had to deal with that.

I spent the day entertaining Phoebe and looking up recipes on Pinterest because we desperately need some new things to eat. Taco salad and spaghetti are getting old as staples to have once a week. I'm willing to try most of these things once, so I'm making a grocery list and we'll see how it goes. I'll let you know, mmkay?

We ended the night with bath and Phoebe pointing out her numbers for my iPhone. You can check that out below.

Happy Monday!
