Phoebe and I made our trip on Thursday to Hot Springs with my parents, brothers, sister-in-law and niece Addeline. Overall, it was a fun trip, but I did have a rough time not having Charlie with me.
But this is not a whine post about being a single parent for a few days, no, this is a post about all the fun things that Phoebe did and said while we were there.
-Phoebe did pretty well in the car. It's a 4 hour trip, plus some because we stopped for lunch and besides a few meltdowns, she did rather well. Of course I chalk quite a bit of the credit up to the iPhone, but I digress.
-Phoebe had a lot of fun with Addeline and even started trying to say her name all the time. It came out "A line!" most of the time, but it was adorable.
-We went to a science center while there and when we walked in my first thought was "eh, I don't know if they'll (Phoebe and Addeline) like this", but they had a blast! My favorite part was This small hot air balloon that you could make go up and Phoebe yelling "baoon get down!".
-There were vents on the floors at the house that we stayed in and Phoebe went over to one everyday, stood over it, giggled and exclaimed "it's windy!".
-When we would drive into town we had to go around these huge curves which if course meant there were arrow signs posted. The first day we drive past these Phoebe started saying "k! K!". After a few seconds I realized the was talking about the arrow signs that were pointing left. Smart kid.
There is probably more fun stuff I'm leaving out, but I'm on vacation hangover today so that is probably all I can muster up to type. Happy Tuesday!
