Today You Are Two

Dear Phoebe,

The thought of writing "today you are two" makes me both joyous and so sad. You are really no longer my little baby girl, but a full fledged toddler.

Yes, you are my sweet, adorable, silly, sometimes challenging toddler.

I love you so much. I have since the minute you settled into my belly.

You are such a fun kid. This month you've had a major word explosion and are now saying so many things in your adorable pixie voice. My favorite that you've added is of course "mo-ee" (mommy). Besides that though you've been adding at least one word to your vocabulary every day. I love hearing you talk and dream about the day when we can have full, silly conversations with each other.

You've also started saying some letters and numbers this month. You could already point out numbers 1-10 and some letters, but to hear you count "1,2" and say "bcde, nop" is beyond thrilling.

You're also forming a few short sentences ( my favorite being "here you go") and using your manners ("gee you", which is thank you).

Beyond that you can throw and catch a ball, run for days, climb and jump.

I love watching you learn when you can do something new. The pride on your face is to die for.

One of the best things you do now is lay down with daddy or me and say "hi nee" and then ramble some crazy conversation off. I also love when you are around us both at the same time and point between us saying "mo-ee, daddy, mo-ee, daddy". It's so cute!

There's so many fun things you do and I SO enjoy getting to experience them with you.

We love you to the moon and back little girl. You are a treasure to us that won't ever be taken for granted.

Hugs and kisses,
Mo-ee
