Splash Pad

So our community is great about doing things for kids.

The people built a great little park about 5 or so years ago that is right up the street from us that is super adored.

Well now it's been added on to (well the property has) with a splash pad.

Now there's been a few splash pads in/near our town already, but I just recently found out about them and they aren't right by us. And in this heat I'm not willing to venture far. Plus this new one is free admission!

So hearing about this new splash pad got me all kinds of excited. I scoured the Internet, looking for a grand opening date only to find a "press" date.

I waited.

Shortly after the press date they announced when they would be open to the public. 1 week. I got excited.

I knew, however, that the first week would probably be crazy packed, so we didn't go.

The second week, Phoebe had some serious stuffy nose allergy stuff going on, so we didn't go.

Luckily that weekend she cleared up, plus bonus, Addie, aunt Anne-Marie and Uncle Tommy came into town.

We got up on Saturday morning, did our normal routine, got ready and headed out there.

I thought surely it would be busy since it was Sat., but it really wasn't.

Both Phoebe and Addie seemed cautious at first. After all they'd never seen water shooting up from the ground before, but once they got into it, they had a blast and so did we.

It's really a great place and we plan on going back soon.

It's awesome what communities love to do for our children.
