Lately Phoebe has been trying to talk. She's babbled for a long time and especially likes "reading" her books to herself out loud, but now she's actually saying a couple of words that we're understanding.
1. Daddy. She's been saying this one for a couple of weeks. She still says da da too, but not to Charlie. She calls him daddy.
2. Doggie. She started saying this word this past weekend. What's more impressive to me was that she was looking at a picture of a dog when she said it.
3. Night night. She has a few books that say night night at the end so we've been practicing this one.
4. Making a "th" sound. It sort of sounds like "this". It's her new favorite thing to say.
I'm currently trying to teach her "milk" and "ma ma" because she STILL won't say ma ma. I think she's doing it out of spite because she knows how badly I want her to say it.
Now for the giggles. Phoebe has discovered that if she lifts my shirt up and kisses my belly or my back, I laugh (it tickles!). This seems to bring her endless entertainment. Also she has gotten really into fake laughing. If Charlie and I say "ha ha ha", she does this hilarious fake laugh. I love it!
Well that's all for now. And, as always, here's a little Phoebe eye candy...
