All is fair in toddler outings

Ok, I'll admit it. I'm one of the moms who does everything to keep her toddler from throwing fits in the grocery store/restaurants.

That may include some annoying habits to others around me including singing several kids songs 10,000x, making crazy weird faces, talking in a ridiculous baby voice or handing her my iPhone and letting her blast Elmo's voice on Elmo calls.

Yes, I do get side-eyed for that last one a lot. But hey, my kid is HAPPY and yours is trying to throw himself out of your shopping cart, so I'm going to call myself the winner, mmkay?

Pretty much anytime we go out to eat, she needs the iPhone in about 10 minutes. She is usually hungry and is in no mood to wait on the cooks to make our food, so she'll sit and play a (educational, that makes it better, right?) game while we wait.

My point is I do what it takes to fend off the toddler tantrum and I honestly don't care if people think I'm a nutter butter for the way I do it.

At the end of the day my kid is loved and nourished and spends all day playing with me, so when I hand her the iPhone for that short time, I don't feel guilty.

I love my kid, so quit rolling your eyes at me random strangers.

Happy Wednesday!
