Phoebe and I have really been enjoying our days together.
We spend the morning eating blueberry waffles and dancing and singing to Bubble Guppies or Sesame Street. Your giant smile that spreads across your face when Elmo's World starts gets me every single day.
After our shows and breakfast we usually get dressed and make our way outside to play in the sandbox, slide down the slide, ride a tricycle, play with rocks and yesterday, color with sidewalk chalk.
Then comes lunch. Some days it's heading to chick-fil-a and some days it's grilling some cheese. I ask Phoebe if she's ready to eat and it's either a "mmm" in an upward inflection as though she's saying "yes" or it's a short whine. Either way we eat, then get ready for nap.
After nap it's indoor play time, dinner, grandpa coming home, bath, daddy coming home, more playing, then nursing to sleep, lying side by side, just as we started the day.
Some days have the challenges thrown in; the hitting, the tantrums, the crying for the iPhone, but 98% of each day is great, full of kisses, giggles and adorable babble, and 110% of it is full of love.
