A year and a half. Wow. We are officially on the downhill slope to her 2nd birthday. How did that happen?
Dear Phoebe,
You are the sweetest, silliest, smartest kid. You love to give hugs and kisses and especially make my heart melt when you grab my face with both of your little hands, look right in my eyes and plant a kiss on me. It makes me smile so big.
You still love dogs. We have about 7 dogs, 4 stuffed and 3 that bark, and you love to kiss and hug all of them.
You actually love to kiss everything these days. You'll pick up a spoon and kiss it. Trash cans? Gross, but yep, I've got you kissing them once or twice. You even picked up wrenches and sockets out of grandpa's toolbox the other day and kissed them! I love it.
You've gotten into saying a few things. There's still hi, but you've added bye. You can say "do it", which seems to be a favorite when your at the top of your make shift mattress slide about to plummet to the bottom. Last night you said "crayons" while flipping through your elmo book with daddy. He said crayons several times and it just popped out. Then you jumped to your feet and exclaimed "GOT IT!" it was so cute! You can also point and say "that's a ___" although the third word is rarely clear. I know those words are about to start coming out soon, but I will admit I'll miss the adorable baby chatter that I don't understand.
You're getting good at pointing out your shapes. We have different plastic shapes you like to play with in the bath, so we've been working on it for awhile. In fact, last night daddy was going through your Elmo book with you and you could point almost all the shapes out on the shapes page.
You have some major stranger anxiety right now which I'm hoping will fade sooner rather than later. It's a little challenging.
You are a happy child most days. You love being tickled and chased around the house. You love your pink swing and collecting rocks. You love Elmo and car rides to chik-fil-a. You love your mommy and daddy. You love nursing (pretty sure we'll be making it to two years) and music. You seem to be digging the black eyed peas right now. You still love books. You love your grandparents and uncle Kenneth.
You're a great kid and I just love how much your personality comes out a little more each day. We love you to pieces little girl.
Love,
Mommy
